DDB Changi Airport Campaign
I’ve hung out at the Singapore Changi airport many a time, wondering why doesn’t every airport have a butterfly garden, rooftop pool, indoor slide, and movie theater! Good job DDB on this new video campaign “The Feeling is First Class.”

StumblingUpon in Singapore
I had a half day in Singapore before catching a flight to Koh Samui, and I think I did pretty good. I somehow managed to stumble upon the famous Marina Bay Sands resort that is an architectural wonder, by Safdie Architects. The rooftop, which is in the shape of a boat connecting to the 3 guest towers, houses a pool overlooking the skyline. It was stunning. Also I was searching for some deals on wacom tablets, calibrators, etc, and found this digital mall. Its almost the the size of the Water Tower in Chicago, but all electronics stores. And the top floor is open 24hours! But they didn’t sell anything that I was looking for so they cater to more of an amateur/hobby photo market. One last thing, all Asian airlines in general are heaps better than American. Singapore Airlines is double decker, more space, hot hand towel, your own TV with 100 different movies, Ben&Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream for dessert, free drinks…etc. I didn’t realize flying 18 hours could be tolerable because all my previous experiences have been with American. We’ve got some catching up to do. Keep it classy Chicago.
